Pilot Succumbs to Injuries After Half-Collapsed Paraglider Plunges

In a heart-wrenching incident, a 61-year-old paraglider from the Allgäu region tragically lost his life in a harrowing accident on the northern slope of the Schattenberg near Oberstdorf.
During a routine flight, the veteran pilot encountered unforeseen difficulties that resulted in his paraglider collapsing on one side. The sudden loss of stability sent him plummeting towards the unforgiving terrain below.
Emergency services and fellow paragliders rushed to the scene, but sadly, their efforts proved futile. The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
