The film marks Murphy's return to the franchise after four decades, with the original "Beverly Hills Cop" releasing in 1984. This time around, Foley's daughter is threatened, prompting him to team up with Taylour Paige and a new generation of young detectives, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kevin Bacon.
